We are 1.5 million working families and retirees, and each day we work for:
  • Secure, affordable, quality health care
  • Fair pay and retirement with dignity
  • Safer jobs and the resources to provide a service we can be proud of

Who We Are

SEIU 721 represents the county and city employees across Southern California, including Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties and numerous cities in the region, as well as employees of special districts and publicly-funded non-profits such as health clinics.

SEIU represents over 1.5 million members in many diverse fields that serve as the glue that holds together the fabric of our communities. We are your public servants, janitors, security guards, nurses, hospital workers, nursing home workers, homecare workers, doctors, medical interns, and EMTs.

What We Do
Our members care for the sick, protect the quality of the drinking water, keep records in the courts, administer benefits for poor people, maintain the libraries, help run the jails, protect our communities’ most vulnerable members, maintain the streets, work with parolees, groom and maintain the beaches, and provide many other services to keep counties and cities running.
