Who We Are SEIU Local 199 is 4,000 members strong and proud to be a part of the largest and fastest growing union in the United States, the Service Employees International Union, with over 1.5 million members nationwide. SEIU represents over 1.5 million members in many diverse fields that serve as the glue that holds together the fabric of our communities. We are your Nurses, Clinical Lab Scientists, Social Workers, Dieticians, School Custodians, School Secretaries, Classroom Aides, School Bus Drivers, Hospital Workers, and Nursing Home Workers.
What We Do SEIU Local 199 has members in Iowa that represent workers in Healthcare, and the Public Sector. We work in a wide variety of occupations to help make our counties safe and healthy places to live, work, and raise our families.
