Who We Are
The SEIU Michigan State Council is 78,000 members strong and proud to be a part of the largest and fastest growing union in the AFL-CIO in the United States, the Service Employees International Union, with over 1.8 million members nationwide. SEIU represents over 1.8 million members in many diverse fields that serve as the glue that holds together the fabric of our communities. We are your janitors, security guards, sheriff deputies, nurses, hospital workers, nursing home workers, home care workers, doctors, medical interns, EMT, scientist and engineers with the state and local governments. 

What We Do
The SEIU Michigan State Council has members in five locals across the state that represent workers in healthcare, state and local government, building services, and industrial and allied trades. We work in a wide variety of occupations to help make Michigan a safe and healthy place to live, work, and raise our families.
