Tell them that airline passengers and workers are tired of the airlines' "race to the bottom." We're tired of the array of new fees, cancelled or late flights and missed safety inspections. And we're tired of having workers on the front lines of airport safety, security and service be forced into low wage, no benefit, high-turnover jobs that put us all at risk. Ask Congress to tie any future support for the airline industry - whether it is moving the industry?s agenda on limiting some kinds of oil speculation or providing more subsidies - to real improvements for passengers and workers.
