SAVE NEW YORK'S HEALTH CARE SAFETY NET!

As the Hospital closing Commission continues to meet in closed-door "executive" sessions to decide the fate of New York's health care facilities, time is running out for important reform legislation to be passed that would help protect access to care in our communities.

The Save Our Safety Net – Campaign has been working with elected officials to reform the original legislation that created the Hospital Closing Commission.  While the Save Our Safety Net Assembly Bill 10186B was passed unanimously with strong bipartisan support in the Assembly, the Senate has yet to act on this important legislation - and we need your help to pass Senate Bill 6591 during a special legislative session this fall.  

Please take a moment to send a letter to Governor Pataki and the Senate leadership urging them to support and pass S.6591 in special session this fall!
