One of the basic things we all expect when we go to work each day is that we won't be needlessly exposed to injury or even death on the job.

And yet, because the federal government has been in retreat in recent years when it comes to making sure our workplaces are safe, many Americans can't take their own safety at work for granted. In 2005 alone, more than 5,700 Americans were killed on the job, and more than 4.2 million were injured.

It's time for Congress to strengthen workplace health and safety laws. Tell your members of Congress to support the Protecting America's Workers Act!
