In the next few days, state legislators will decide whether to take a big step toward ending homelessness in our state. You can ensure they make the right decision. The Housing Trust Fund supports the development of affordable housing and housing for the homeless. However, there is a substantial project backlog because of growing housing demand and a shortfall of funds. Increasing the Housing Trust Fund is a key element of State legislators are considering a proposal to increase the Housing Trust Fund by up to $100 million this year. Such an investment would create housing for thousands of Washingtonians – seniors on fixed incomes, homeless people, families with young children struggling to get by.
